Christopher Irving is an assistant professor at Virginia Commonwealth University and teaches comic books and media. As a comic book historian, his books include the forthcoming Cinema's First Superheroes: The Movie Serials (TwoMorrows Publishing), Leaping Tall Buildings: The Origin of American Comics (powerHouse Books), and The Blue Beetle Companion (TwoMorrows). Christopher creates crazy merch with Mike Allred's Madman, writes screenplays, and also is a story architect for the Eagle Force toy line.
